Stories by Siobhan Dunn

In these vivid, character‑driven stories, people stand at the edge of change — confronting love, loss, and the fragile beauty of becoming.

Each tale explores what it means to grow through adversity and to find meaning in connection.

  • A philosophical young enforcer tests his loyalty and conscience in a world built on violence.

  • A blind businessman and his sister rebuild their lives after their brother’s sudden death — and face the responsibility of raising his child.

  • Two brilliant opposites collide by tragedy in the middle of a crowded city.

  • A 30‑year‑old girl, still shaped by childhood trauma, confronts another loss to cancer and the limits of her own emotional growth.

Love, action, grief, disability, illness, resilience, and renewal — all woven into a portrait of passionate lives.

If there is anything in the day worth knowing, it will settle in you, even with the shadows of night snapping at its ankles. The garden pivot made sure of that. We will know delight in this life and with it, we will know pain. Challenge the pain. If you let it sit with you, use it. Ultimately, let it go. Pain won't just vanish, understandably. Something similar to forgetting, or a fade, could take decades and will certainly require soul renovation and new joy to cover the old hurt. But pain is really great when dressed up as empathy. It makes knowing and loving others a whole lot easier. It makes suffering just another meaningful moment in life's classroom, instead of brute cruelty that took harm too far. So, give it up. Give grace to everybody. Let today be the better day. 🧷🙂💗
